Mason City Unitarians to hear program on ‘smart’ water meters
MASON CITY | Chris Ressler, a nurse practitioner, will give a presentation Sunday on smart, or radio frequency, water meters during the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of North Central Iowa.
Mason City officials want to switch to the new meters. Controversies about health effects of the smart meters have caused citizens groups, including the town of Fairfield, to oppose the new meters.
Josh Hart, director of StopSmartMeters.org, will be available via speaker phone to answer questions.
Fellowship meets on Sundays at Community Kitchen, 606 N. Monroe Ave., Mason City. There will be coffee, tea and socializing at 10:15 a.m. Programs begin at 10:30 a.m.
